APPEARANCE: A tall and curvy thing with smooth skin the color of milk chocolate, wild black curls and keen hazel eyes. Curio appears to be in her mid-twenties. She often wears short skirts over leggings or stockings
HISTORY: Curio was born in October 31, 1966 in New York City to Edmond and Subira Michel. Edmond was born in France. He met his future wife while doing charity work in Somalia. Despite being immigrants, both of Curio’s parents are now American citizens. Curio graduated from Loyola School where her father still teaches. During her off-year, the young lady met her future sire, Rekos, when working on a project in the Bronx. They became fast friends and casual lovers, the mortal blissfully unaware of her fun friend’s true nature. The swarthy man introduced her to the world of underground gambling. Both were pleased to learn that the girl had a knack for games of chance. They parted ways when Curio moved across the country to study Architecture at the University of California. From California, she moved to Seattle were she unwittingly began her education in building to protect and facilitate kindred. She took the lead in may projects funded by the Prince, Thomas Elliot.
While in Seattle, the girl caught the eye of a minor toreador who had plans on embracing her, but while the man was waiting for permission Rekos made yet another appearance. This time, he confessed his nature to Curio and invited her to join his undead family. Always a spontaneous person, the girl agreed, curious to begin a great adventure. With her new family, Curio traveled all over picking up a surprising amount of knowledge and technique during her travels. She has learned tricks to building from various cities and clans over the years, but the Nosferatu clan has been a great ally, often sharing subterranean building techniques under the condition that she may use them herself, but never pass them on to any but another Nos.
For being a fledgling, Curio is fairly well known. She provides a very specific service and has the skills, network and resources to do it better than anyone else. Word travels and the word is that if a kindred has the cash, Curio can build a dream haven limited only by the client’s imagination. More over, she is known to be trustworthy. The young Ravnos knows where a lot of powerful vampires sleep during the day. Were she to betray even her most lowly of clients, her career would be over and her existence would quickly follow. The girl is keenly aware of and deeply respects this fact of her unlife. She has small offices in NYC and Seattle as well as extensive projects in many port cities under a contract with Jack Darnay.
INTENT: Curio’s contract with Jack is key in her presence in New Orleans. Jack discovered that the dusky architect was in the city working on a minor project for Prince William and asked her to temporarily re-locate to help with renovations to the city. Curio has not yet accepted the offer (pending character approval), but she is certainly considering the benefits, not the least of which being Rose’s presence in the city, as well.
